The 2025 CR-V comes with either a standard gas engine or a hybrid powertrain. The base gas engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, making 190 horsepower. The hybrid combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a pair of electric motors, making 205 horsepower. Both pair their powertrains with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and your choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The base engine is quite fuel-efficient for its class, getting 28 mpg in the city and up to 34 mpg on the highway.
